Lazy days

Summer afternoon - summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language. ~Henry James

Saturday was a perfect summer afternoon to spend at the beach. I've never been a huge fan of Michigan, but I realized this summer what a great state we have here... We're almost completely surrounded by water and have beautiful beaches. A 45 minute drive will take us to any number of beaches and sand dunes...
The best part of the beach is seeing the kids. We didn't have any toys, but it didn't matter. Water, sand and a little imagination are all that's needed.
The sun was warm, but the water was frigid! It didn't stop us though :D
We will be visiting again sometime soon!!
PS...All the pictures were taken with my new EnV phone/hand held computer ;0)

You guys had such fun!! Your phone camera takes better photos than my camera-camera.

Love the baby's photo! I meant to tell you that on FB! :)

Looks like you guys had a blast! And if you want to talk about frigid water...visit the Oregon coast! Lol! You would NEVER see (sane) people in bathing suits! Lol.

It looks like fun.

I have never been to a Michigan beach, but have been to those in Indiana. The water was crystal clear, beautiful.

I love summer too. It does not last long enough at all!

I've enjoyed reading your blog- grew up in Michigan but moved to MD for jobs... Michigan is a beautiful state, and I miss it so much- especially the water. Thank you for posting the pictures! We took our 3 kids to Petoskey last summer for camping and fun on the beach- wish I could be there right now! I'll just have to drown my sorrows in soap- :)
Making some good ones this weekend-- salt bars, some swirled bars, and whatever else I get the time for!
Thanks again!
